Las Vegas night life
The lowcostLasVegas.com guide to nightlife isn't just a preview of where to see and be seen in Las Vegas' many bars and clubs but also a few ideas on other activities and options available in Las Vegas and best viewed once the sun has gone down. One of the best things you can do once the sun has set is simply to walk down The Strip marvelling at the incredible light and sound displays from the many establishments beckoning for your custom. For an even more breathtaking view of the Strip at night, why not try a balloon ride or a heli flight over The Strip?

Cloud Nine Balloon Experience
The Cloud Nine Balloon Experience is the world's largest,
land-tethered helium balloon ride and holds up to 30 passengers,
slowly rising to a height of 500 feet above the Strip. You'll
appreciate magnificent views of the city's surrounding mountains as
well as one of one of the best views of the Las Vegas Strip
available. You have the freedom to walk around taking pictures from
all angles and directions and enjoying the fresh air. The
Cloud Nine Balloon Experience is environmentally safe,
non-polluting and virtually silent and, despite it's size, uses
less energy to rise up than a standard elevator. The Cloud
Nine Balloon Experience can be found directly across from
Mandalay Bay at the south end of the Strip and can be seen from
miles away. The balloon ride leaves every 12 minutes and operates
until 2am making for breathtaking night views of the dazzling
neon-lit Strip.

Las Vegas Strip Night Flight
What better way than to see the entertainment capital of the world
at night but from the air. This heli flight takes off at the
northern end of Las Vegas so you get an extended flying time
onboard one of the 6 passenger seated Helicopters. Before your

Other night time attractions worth a visit:

The Fremont Street Experience
Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas is a pedestrianised street
with its own nightly show - The Fremont Street Experience. The
length of the street is covered with a canopy of LED lights turning
it into a sort of shopping precinct that links together a total of
ten casinos. At night a heart-thumping sound system comes alive
with eye-popping visuals backdropped by the neon of the casinos. A
huge light-show takes place on the Viva Vision screen, which is one
of the largest screens in the world. Featuring a phenomenal 12
million lights accompanied by hundreds of thousands of wattage
blasted through the sound system, the show is a breathtaking, heart
pounding affair. Each free show lasts for roughly ten minutes and
starts at 15 minute intervals from dusk until midnight.

Bellagio Fountains
The Bellagio Fountains are one of the most popular free attractions
in Las Vegas. It is a distinguishing attraction of the
Bellagio Hotel and is a light and sound show, coupled with a
quite phenomenal fountain display. The Bellagio Fountains are
situated on an eight acre lake, located in front of the hotel and
are reputed to be one of the most complex and impressive water
features that have ever been designed. Spanning over 1,000 feet in
length and containing more than 1,000 water nozzles that coordinate
with over 4,000 lights. Before a water show starts, the nozzles
break the water surface and the lights illuminating the backdropped
hotel tower turn to a vivid colour such as purple or red. The
fountain display is choreographed to various pieces of music,
including songs by Frank Sinatra and Andrea Bocelli and the most
extreme jets shoot water into the air at heights of up to 400
feet.

The Mirage Volcano
The Mirage Volcano on The Strip is the closest you'll ever want to
get to the real thing; a spectacle of fire, light, and faux-lava
explosions that brighten the night sky and which are synchronised
with tribal music influenced and embodied by the physical and
spiritual stories and myths associated with volcanic activity
through civilisations past. This show, located infront of the Mirage,
is one of the most popular attractions on the Strip and a real
family favourite. The volcano erupts hourly from dusk until 11pm on
a nightly basis. Many of the incredible shows run once or twice a
day starting at about 7 or 8pm and, if applicable, again at about
10pm. Please see our
Guide to seeing a show on your Las Vegas holiday for further
details about seeing one of these hugely popular attractions.
Casinos are mostly open non-stop 24 hours a day.

Bars and Clubs in Las Vegas
As mentioned briefly above, there are a huge number of bars and

generally where most people flock.

- 'Pure' with its mixture of A-list celebs and chic clientele.
Another up-market and hugely popular nightspot is 'XS' at Encore at the Wynn. This
golden nightclub has a dance floor that opens out onto a patio and
stunning pool complex as shown in the image accompanying this

regular live performances by both world-famous bands and DJs. 'LAX"
at the
Luxor Hotel & Casino is also a favourite haunt for
celeb-watching and is situated across 2 floors.
Mandalay Bay Resort features several bars and clubs including
the 'Minus 5 Ice Lounge' which, as the name suggests, is made of
ice.

bar and the 'VooDoo Lounge' situated atop the Rio with its flair
bartenders and outstanding Strip views.
Bellagio's main focal point is 'The Bank', a multi-level
