The top Las Vegas hotel swimming pools
Arguably the best place to spend your day relaxing by the pool is
at the
Mandalay Bay Resort. Located right on the Las Vegas Strip and
set on 60 acres of tropical island-themed paradise this really is
the ultimate beach holiday miles away from the coast! This
world-famous playground has pure white sandy beaches and features
the largest wave pool in Vegas, a lazy river and three beautiful
swimming pools.

The Tropicana has a beautiful, large pool with an island in the middle and a swim-up bar and blackjack tables. With plenty of space and a nice layout it's another good choice for your day by the pool.

The Hard Rock Hotel has an incredibly beautiful multi-levelled pool area. Golden sand, lots of palm trees and greenery, a Beach Bar & Grill, babbling brooks and a stunning waterfall. This pool is a favourite of the young and trendy and is often packed but due to its design, there are areas that feel more secluded allowing you to find your own quiet spots. Every Sunday at midday the Hard Rock Hotel pool area hosts Rehab, the ultra-trendy beach club party. This hotel was recently voted by Travel Channel as having one of the top 10 pools in the world.

Caesars Palace hosts the Garden of the Gods complex. This luxurious and grand oasis has recently been expanded and remodelled and now includes 6 spectacular pools. With impeccable service and a host of amenities and swim-up facilities many people could happily spend their entire holiday in Las Vegas here.

The Flamingo Hotel is a bit of a family favourite and has a beautiful Caribbean-style water playground set across 15 acres. Featuring 4 pools and a mass of trees and shrubs it really is an idyllic place to relax and unwind. There's a big cave offering shade from the sun for when it gets a little too hot for you and a huge waterfall thundering water down into the pool.

The Monte Carlo is another good choice especially for families with children. Offering a large pool, separate wave pool and a lazy river there are plenty of facilities to keep the kids occupied and it also benefits from plenty of shade under the tall trees that surround the pool area.
The top Las Vegas golf courses
Nevada is the fastest growing state in the U.S. for golf courses
and Las Vegas hosts a large number of these. Whether you are a
seasoned pro or a first-time amateur, there is a course, or indeed
a number of courses, that will cater to your level. For a bit of
peace and tranquility, not to mention the stunning landscapes,
amidst the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas why not take a day or two
out of your busy holiday schedule to enjoy this popular and
relaxing pastime. Las Vegas is home to at least 20 high-class golf
courses so the short list below is by no means extensive.

Bali Hai Golf Club is a stunning tropical paradise and is the only championship course located directly off the Las Vegas Strip. Situated just south of the Mandalay Bay Resort and with a host of accolades and awards, you will surely enjoy this beautiful and testing course. You will also find one of the top Golf shops around and a first-class restaurant within the grounds. Rental clubs and professional caddies available.

Wynn Las Vegas has its own par 70, 18-hole course within its extensive grounds. Featuring a breathtaking vista of lakes and waterfalls, forests and shrubs, you will certainly appreciate the scenery as well as the course within this wonderfully contoured landscape. With professional staff and a host of amenities you are sure to enjoy this luxurious golfing experience. Rental clubs available.

The Las Vegas Golf Club opened in 1945 and recently benefitted from a $5 million facelift. Located only about a mile northwest of the Strip, this 18-hole course is suitable for the more novice players with only a sprinkling of trees around the fairways and a few bunkers to trip you up around the greens. Run by a good crew of professional staff and featuring a brand new clubhouse. Carts are included in the cost and you can rent a full set of clubs.

Desert Pines Golf Club is conveniently located just minutes from Downtown and the northern end of The Strip. Featuring thousands of mature trees and big, white sandy bunkers with greens based on those at Augusta. Half of the 18 holes feature water and due to the vast number of trees it is often cooler playing here than at many other courses in the Las Vegas area. The Desert Pines course provides players of all abilities with a fun and rewarding experience and it was recently recognised as one of the best new courses in the country. There is also a state-of-the-art practice centre here featuring an automated ball delivery system, 5 target greens resembling some of the country's most famous par 3, 17th holes and a good teaching centre. An on-course food and beverage service is also available.
