Boulder City Museum and Historical Association
The Boulder City Museum recounts the story of the hardworking men and women who built the Hoover Dam and Boulder City. Visitors can enjoy various displays and exhibits showcasing the hardships of the workers that gave so much to the area. Artefacts, soundclips, videos and photos demonstrate what life was like when the dam was being constructed.

The Neon Museum Las Vegas
Established in 1996, the non-profit Neon Museum collects and exhibits classic Las Vegas neon signs. The museum's mission is to acquire and preserve these iconic American treasures dating back to the 1930s. The Neon Museum is currently in the process of restoring the lobby of the La Concha Motel to be used as a visitor centre. While construction is being completed, tours are subject to availability and enquiries should be made as far in advance as possible.

The Atomic Testing Museum
The amazing and dramatic history of the Nevada Test Site is thoroughly documented in this museum, located just minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Visitors can watch a video depicting the events that led to the Test Site being built and its role within the Cold War. Galleries and displays describe how the tests were conducted, why and how it was abandoned, its environmental impact and how the test site has affected the modern world.

Nevada State Museum
If you want to learn about the state of Nevada and Las Vegas, then you should pay a visit to the Nevada State Museum. Their aim is to educate visitors about the state of Nevada by collecting and displaying materials and information that detail the history of the area. Exhibits include a Columbian Mammoth, a fossil of an Ichthyosaur Shonisaurus popularis and information about Las Vegas' war effort in the 1940s.
