Fly British Airways from Glasgow
to Las Vegas

Las Vegas is becoming an increasingly popular destination for a cheap holiday from the UK. Hotel prices are incredibly good value with luxury 5-star resorts in Las Vegas costing less per night than a regular 2-star hotel in New York. So, why are they so cheap? In a nutshell, Las Vegas is geared almost exclusively around tourism and in an environment where bigger and better is everything, hotels look to gain numbers over their competitors by offering more and more facilities whilst maintaining prices. They've got 3 swimming pools? We'll build 4. They've got a 100,000 square foot casino? We'll make ours 120,000 square feet. All good news for you, the consumer, and the main reason why the self-titled entertainment capital of the world is so popular at the moment for cheap package holidays to Las Vegas. Flight prices are currently very good value and generally the more you book in advance the cheaper your flight will be. Flights from London Heathrow to Las Vegas operate daily which means that subject to availability you are not restricted at all on travel dates and there are several flights a day connecting Glasgow and London.

Although British Airways has no direct routes from Scotland, Las Vegas is a popular destination for Scots and this is due, in part, to the easy in-direct service that British Airways offers from Glasgow to Las Vegas via Heathrow. There are often several options but it is possible to leave Glasgow at lunch-time and, due to the time difference, arrive in Las Vegas in the early evening of the same day. The stop-over at Heathrow can be as little as an hour and the overall combined flight time from Glasgow to Las Vegas a little over 14 hours.

As you will be travelling from Glasgow to Las Vegas with the same airline, British Airways, your flight check-in is an incredibly simple and stress-free process. When you check in at Glasgow you are issued with your ticket all the way through to Las Vegas. Your baggage will remain in transit throughout so there is no need for you to reclaim your luggage at Heathrow and re-check it in again for the following flight. Once you check your bags in at Glasgow you will not need to worry about them again until you get to Las Vegas. Equally, your ticket issued in Glasgow will mean that once you land at Heathrow you can head straight through from arrivals and in to the departure lounge without having to re-check in or go through the security process again.

Return flights from Las Vegas to the UK are always overnight but it's possible to leave Las Vegas just before 9pm and arrive back in Glasgow a little over 13 hours later. Not bad for flying halfway round the world! However, due to an 8 hour time difference this will mean it's approaching 6pm local time on the following day when you do arrive in Glasgow. There is an easy 2 hour stopover at Heathrow en-route, perfect for having a meal and stretching your legs but not so long that you have to endure a lengthy wait between flights.
